69' Roadrunner headlamps

Anybody know where I could find the headlights for a 69? I'm not talking about the bezel or the actual bulb, I'm talking about the actual glass/plastic lamp itself that screws in. I've looked online and can't find anything.

the headlight bulb number is h5001 or h5006 depending on if you want the high or low beams. if you are running an ater market set up i know there are a few companies on line that sell the hosuings to convert over to the h7 or 9006/9005 lighting system.

You should be able to buy these, at least halogen replacements if not original type sealed beams, at ANY decent auto parts store. ANY automobile or truck which used round 4-lamp system sealed beams used these lamps.

The original numbers are 4000 (low beam) and 4001 (high beam)

Modern halogen replacements sometimes just add an H, or use the 5K series numbers posted above.

Thanks. I see the h5001 and h5006, it says that they can both be used as highs or low and the descriptions are the same except the 5006 costs a lil more. Is there a difference between the two?

Well yes and no. they are NOT really the same. The 5001 sealed beam, uses the 2 prong connector,(which if i remember right is the HIGH beam light) and the 5006 has the 3 conductor connections (which makes it have BOTH high beam and low beam) so to answer your question buy 2 of each, one of each no. per side. The connectors will dictate which bulb goes where. (Low beams on outside, high beam only bulb is inside)

The low beam lamps have 2 filaments, the high beams only one

On low beam, ONLY the low beam filaments in the outer lamps are lit

On high beam, the low beam filament is turned off, and..........

BOTH inner and outer lamps light the high beam filaments

The lamps ARE NOT interchangeable
