Anyone have pictures of the firewall drain on an E-body (or anything)?

My '73 Challenger's cowl / firewall drain area is rusted out right where it bulges to fit the windshield wiper motor. The car is just a driver, so I am welding in patches to repair it. However, I am uncertain as to what the original drain looked like (due to mine being disintegrated). I saw on eBay someone was selling a "firewall drain door" which looked like a little flap. Was there really a flap inside of the drain? Or was it just an open drain?

If anyone has any wisdom on this topic, I'd be appreciative.

Thanks!
Joe

On my '73 cuda, the drain is just a hole about 3/8". I would post a pic,but car is in storage, winter sucks!

Hole about 3/8"... not hard to imagine, no picture needed.

Thanks for the info!

I think I'll make my new one a bit bigger so a 3/8" leaf does not get stuck in there and rust it all out again. =)
