Battery Relocation into B-Body's Trunk
Can anyone offer guidance on the best routing for the battery cable once the battery is moved to the right-rear of the trunk in a 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury? Should the cable be routed through the trunk floor and then forward under the chassis, or would it be better to run it forward inside and then through the firewall?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

*Always use a good rubber grommet where ever the cable passes through the body.
*Use insulated clips to attach the cable to the car. The more the better.
*Watch out for heat! Always run the cable away from exhaust or anything hot
*Use a Cable heavy enough for the job "00" is what is on the race car.
*Solder the ends of the cable at the terminals and use heat shrink, dont use those cheesy pep-boys cable ends that "bolt on"
*Use a long enough cable. Buy more than you think you will need, it is always nice to have a little you have to cut off, remember it doesn't stretch!
*No need to run the ground all the way to the front. A good chassis ground in the rear is just as effective as the front.
* now would also be a good time to buy a battery disconnect switch and install that as well. (much easier than disconnecting a cable every time)

It might be better off to run it inside rather than underneath the car, unless you can secure it tight to the bottom, or mabey put it in some kind of conduit to protect it from being pulled or jabbed by anything on the ground.
