Cam change on a 400 CUI Engine
 

I have a 73 Dart Sport with a 400 cu engine. The engine has a Mopar purple cam, 284, 484 with .05 at 241 degrees. The guy I bought it from was setting it up for drag racing. I have 2 questions:
1. Would you suggest using this cam for general street cruising?
2. Cam the cam be changed without pulling the engine? I'm hoping I could pull the timing cover and pull the cam out the front...
