caravan commercial

ok, so there is this annoying dodge caravan commercial with kids challenging another kid to a race home. can somebody please explain this commercial to me, it makes no sense

rr69half6bbl 10-19-2010 05:07 AM

John, the gist i got from it was the kids were gonna beat him up and was chasing him home. and when he got into the van, it was a safe zone. its giving the parents the feeling tht the kids can feel safe in their new caravan.and that pumps them up cause every body wants to be joe super dad. so well buy a new caravan instead of a chally.

I was also trying to figure out the message here, as I thought they were brothers, as the one kid says I'll race you home or something like that. Then the Mom takes the kid on a drive but leaves the others there, alone? Almost gets t-boned out the driveway and then drives off. Very confusing except that you can get the optional indicator on the mirror that tells you when there are obstacles.

Okay were talking about 2 different commercials, i havent seen the one your refering too I guess.

I don't get it either.... I'm not sure if I'm too dumb to get them or too smart??????? :D:D

I, for the life of me don't get it at all.

I thought maybe the kid was proud of himself that he thought to get a ride instead of running. But it is all just to confusing, must have made sense to somebody, but not me :)

Van commercial? That is when I am in the kitchen grabbing a new beer.

i dont understand it either, i dont think the kids were trying to beat him up it was a race? mom in the mini van, then the other kids dad should of showed up in a new hemi challenger,

johnthegoalie 10-19-2010 11:28 PM

he ducks the kids the whole way home, just to shine them on when they drive by - if they were looking to shake him down for lunch money, they lost that day but there is school the next day...

Obviously the knothead that made the commercial was in the audio visual club in school and was obviously picked on or beat on a regular basis. It was either make commercials to get back at the world in some twisted way or become a cop and god knows we don't need another chess club beating taker with a badge and a gun. For the record the commercial sucks. Where did cool go ?

lmao, polara, cool went away with the dodge sherrif. you were in a heapa trouble boah, heavily stress were. Now you get a yuppie " law enforcement person" telling you that you cant drink your starbucks latte and drive through a clean polotics zone at the same time.pretty please. Oh and I like your stylish mini van by the way. you have an extra nice day now, and remember ,buckle up for saftey. heres a good 1. in Indy not too long ago we had a cop on his way to serve a bench warrant right, and enroute to the address. he hits two bikers from behind sitting at a red light. Dont know the extent of injuries, I heard a few deaths. their wives, i think, then 1 guy in real bad shape. so they did investigation on scene let the guy go , and back at h.q. the boss does a breath test on him and he pops posotive for over limit alchohol in his system, and mind you this was hours later after accident . havent heard the outcome yet. but Havent seen anything ither thats the scary part. if it were you or i. wed a been front page news.

I agree with you that that commercial blows. One good van commercial is this one for the honda Odyssey... Dodge needs to do some of this:

Yep, I just saw it again at the bar the other day, a lot less confusing without the sound.

And why is the door open?
