Just getting started with my son on a 1970 cuda rebuild . We disassembled most of it the past few weeks to get started on the floors . we made a rotisserie for it this weekend to make it easier to get the under side work done . This is the 1st time I have made/used one and this is the only way to go your back will thank you !!! Mine is already bad !! . We had some fun & some primitive Pete type stuff to get the body on it but all went well . I will have many questions in the comming months an here is the 1st what would you suggest to use to remove all the under coating ? Simple DA or grinder with sand paper or scotch bright type pads ? Thanks Scott

Heat gun and scraper for bulk, and then you choose scotch brite or sandpaper.

DP is right, look into a pneumatic needle scale/slag removal tool, works great.
If you search this you'll find some chemical, heat and other messy stinky methods but elbow grease works best. |
I hate doing that... No real easy way I think.... But this works well... I have only done small spots though...
