Engine cutting out
#2
Not a MOPAR, but at my firehouse we have an old engine for parades, and the same thing happened, we had to clean out the fuel filter to get it to go, when the gas was low, the junk in the bottom of the tank got into the filter and pump and clogged it all up.

sorry, I forgot to mention I changed the fuel filter. Actually, I tried changing the pump twice but both leaked. They were from a major discount auto parts store which I won't mention by name. While I am waiting for a real (AC Delco) fuel pump to get here in the mail, I was wondering if this could be caused by carb floats, etc. or something other than the pump. I've pretty much ruled out the ignition system (new coil, cap, rotor, etc)
