Well I purchased the "Highest Quality, 7year" WM/Oreillys Budge Car cover for my 1970 plymouth. Box claimes Waterproof, And Waterproof is what I need the most living in NW.

It rained alot the other day and there was puddles at the back trunk and windshield area, I reach underneath and sure enough puddles on the car itself (It's sitting faced downhill).

Needless to say I'll be returning this $67 POS. But, I need a replacement.
Anyone have any suggestions or experience with a good one for under $100?

I see all these ebay covers claiming waterproof and anywhere from 3 to 17 layers and crazy long return periods... I dont know what brand or sellers to trust.

Unless you use a solid sheet of plastic (not recommended) any cover you get will eventually let water thru, Woven materials will always have minute gaps and spaces for the water to seep in.

I need a garage period.
I wonder if 2 car covers on top of each other might help, LoL.

Like I said, Our driveway is sloped downward and we get some heavy winds occasionally which would blow a car canopy over.

I could move it facing the street and likely not have pooling, But I'm paranoid someone will try and steal the battery or something since the release is all accessible from the front. and the sidewalk is right there like less than 8 feet away.

*Side note: Someone came on our property and only appears to have only stolen 2 car battery's I had laying near our back door. One entirely dead POS exide and the other an Interstate Mega-tron II that was recently picked up at the scrap yard. Also the hood latch release on on my fathers old '83 Volvo doesn't work anymore which seems like a coincidence... And that was parked where I now have the Satellite...

Take the battery out of the car and secure it else where. Are you still locked out of your car? If you have managed to get into it take anything inside that could be stolen out and secure it where it can't be seen. Thieves look for targets of opportunity. If the trunk latches and locks, and you have the keys for it you could hide it in the trunk. Just make sure the battery isn't leaking. If not, do you have a shed you could store it in?

I would recommend Covercraft WeatherShield HP or WeatherShield HD, it's not waterproof though. But they do shed water. If a cover is waterproof it wouldn't be breathable. Try checking out coverquest.com
