Rainy weekend here. Just finished replacing air conditioner for workmates retired uncle. Had some guy in before installed A Coil with plumbing soft solder and screwed this guy which gets me back out doing these for his family the last 3-4 yrs. Told him this will be the last one as I can't lose my weekends and I have to work on my Coronet.

Had hail come through yesterday when I was there which filled the neighbours eavestrough FULL in 30 minutes then quit, real freaky.

I hope everyone is well and burning rubber.

Good morning all, great weather here in the mile high city. Wife took her truck to the dealership yesterday for oil change and tire rotation. She watched them closely because they failed to rotate her tires last time and now looking at replacing tires at 14,000 miles. The did a front to back swap on tires instead of correct rotation this time. She corrected them and they told her that is how they normally do rotations because of the performance tires on many of their vehicles. She asked if she had those tires on her truck and duh, no. They went back to cross sides on 2 tires and left half the lug nuts loose. Spoke to service director when I got off work and challenged him to show me a Ram pickup with directional tires, he couldn't. His way to make it up to us was sell us 4 oil changes for cheap. Unbelievable that this place is in business, guess he doesn't understand that I will not spend another penny in this place until he redeems his department. Taking truck back to them today to catch them in another lie. They supposedly added 1/2 gallon of coolant but no report of any leaks. Will be setting him straight.

Been hotter here than in Cali. Been on roofs all week but almost over. Took truck back to dealership so service director could look where the half gallon of coolant leaked out. He couldn't so I brought up the notion that his tech needed some coolant for their vehicle and didn't want to pay for it. He refunded the coolant. Explained that I am not comfortable spending any money in his shop until they make right their mistakes. He is doing next oil change for free and I will be watching that time. Mistakes happen and we will see if they improve. If not we have several dealerships around that would appreciate the overpriced business. I have been a little side tracked from Jeep stuff lately, I know it's not a Mopar but... Picked up a 2002 VFR800 Interceptor for cheap. Cleaned tank since it hadn't been ridden in 6 years, replaced fuel pump to be on safe side and have been sportin around on 2 wheels. Have to replace chain/sprockets and new tires to feel comfortable taking it into the mountains on the twisties but it feels good to be riding again after a 20 year hiatus.

Good weather here on our Canada Day Holiday Monday. Some had the previous Friday off others like myself have today off.

We have taken my B Body rear housing and cut it down to 52 5/8" A Body length and will buy A Body axles with green bearings. This will allow me to swap different assemblies with my sons.

Options are 3.23 original (with new 30 spline axles), 4.10 sure grip differential from Ford son's Mustang, 4.88 spool and 35 spline axles from Shawn's Demon.

It's in our shop now tacked and mocked up with SSBC disc brakes and 35 spline spool and axles, looks wicked cool and I giggle like a teenager. Maybe when we get Shawn's new race car done in a couple years he'll lend me his blown alcohol engine for a go, hee hee hee, silly old man.
