Went for a late night cruise last night with my girlfriend to get ice cream. I got to stab the throttle and startle a few crowds of St. Patty's day drinkers.
Haha!
Good times! I haven't been able to do that for a long time!
It was a lot of fun turning heads with my old wagon!

Welded a little on the rear axle housing, starting to mount rad, fuel tank, body and little stuff, I'll put up photos on that thread soon. Picked up my wife's cold/flu yesterday and feel like **** today, warm week but snowed last night and power out for three hours.

I'm on the fence about one thing, the 8.8 diff I was going to put a carbon fiber clutch kit in it but for a $100 I can get a spool for it. I hate a limited slip at the dragstrip but I don't mind a spool on the street so I'm thinking about running down to Ames a picking up a spool and a crush sleeve eliminator shim kit and calling it good.

The 8.8 has a variety of options of lockers in between the limited slip and a spool. I am not that knowledgeable about high powered drag cars but wouldn't something like a Detroit true trac give better road manners and still a solid start at track? Also, a camper to sell? Just so happens we were shopping campers this weekend, thinking of getting one near the end of summer when prices drop. Whatcha sellin?

The car had a Detroit locker in it before and it worked great in the locked form but the in and out of street driving was less than stellar. I can't remember who I ordered it from but they told me I wouldn't like it and they were correct. I think part of the problem is that the car is light at 2900 lbs.
The camper I have is a 08 Wildwood 28' with a nice size slide out 31' overall length that hasn't been used as much as it should.

Spool is ok for the weekends. You just have to pull and check the axles ever-so-often. But you already knew that...
Lockers are good when they work. Well test proven in the 4X4 world.

Hey guys, relax today with coffee and dogs, have the sons brown one here this weekend to go along with our two, big dog party. Raining all day today yesterday beautiful with the family and dogs outside doing yard work while I finished the race car rear housing back brace. Later we got the cooling hoses and more importantly the fuel line and filter routing which made Shawn very happy. Going to fire up NHRA TV and catch some Stock and Super Stock Eliminator, I hate all the Super classes, it's just not racing to me.
