Demon is getting a 727, Shawn lost his interest in the clutch and shifting.
Mustang needs very little work but he came over this morning and said no because if he has any time he wants to work on my '70 Coronet, "I'd like to see it finished, your not getting any younger Dad" he says. First Grandchild for me. Today we got my car up on the 2ft high rolling stand so I can finish the few bits of welding and Shawn can clean and paint the underside before he runs brake/fuel lines and such. Then I have to finish the tubs and install the quarter panels, not looking forward to being a body man. Grandkids are a blast.. I have lots of fun with all 9 of mine.. :) Sounds like making some good headway on the 70 Coronet.. Nice !!! |

good morning all. I have been studying a lot over the past couple weeks and on Friday passed the test for my Master Journeyman mechanical. Now I just have to wait until some warmer weather to install the parts for the Jeep. If all goes well should be able to run it one more time at Bandimere this summer.

Yes it is. I got laid off in November from a company I was with for over 3 years. I had not been continuing my education and career because I was working for a good company that was paying me well. Decided I wanted to better myself before I moved on to another company and decided this was my next step. This puts me in position to open my own company which I can run weekends/evenings and have something to fall back on if I ever get blindsided by a company again. I am still in the process of educating myself on all those details. Things were delayed due to some family issues but in the end the delay was very beneficial to me.

The one thing I hate more than a leak>>>>>> Is fixing one.....:laugh::laugh:
|
I had a flat roof on my shop, I hate flat roofs! One big pain in the butt.
|
Morning. Getting my tired bones ready for another day of carpentry work. Yesterday prepared for the beam in Mustang son's basement, removed the wall and it goes up today.
Hopefully all his young strong buddies show up at noon to hoist. Me, don't tell anyone but I am dragging my ass today. |
With 12" of new snow this week we are off to the sledding hill with a couple of new sleds, we gave them a cote of wax just because so they should be fast.!
My back hurts just thinking about the rest of the day. |
Good Afternoon Y'all.... I'm with you guy... The older I get the more broken I feel...Nice day to do the roof... 70* and a slight breeze... All I can say, Is, I hurt all over now...Bahahahahahahahahaha...
Ok.... I'm done being a sissy.... Rant Over... :) |
That kid will sweat at twenty degrees, I froze my ass off.
|
450lb, 14' 6" beam up with the engine hoist, slick as sh.... Nice to see my son's buddies all showed up like they said. Feel good now but will likely wake up sore, job well done and a few good laughs.
|
Last one I put up in my garage I did my self, 20 foot H beam through the end of the shop, picked it up with the cheery picker one end at a time and slid it in. :)
|
Morning. Can't sleep in anymore like my son, always up at 6;30 even when the alarm isn't set. Hopefully I can recoup today.
Our beam was a tough one like threading a needle, picked up in the middle and slid into place, not my idea of fun. When his wife came home we made like we were planning on knocking out the foundation for a ramp to the underground garage and the beam was for a chain hoist trolley. Not funny to her, at all. |
