Hitch a ride in a Dodge muscle car

Hi,

my name is Daniel and a friend of mine and me are going on a road trip (with a normal rental car) from Indiana to California. We're both students in mechanical engineering in Germany and 24 years old.
We both have the dream of riding in a classic Dodge muscle car like a '68 charger or a '70 challenger on an american highway. We don't want to drive ourselves, only hitch a little ride.
Does anyone know someone who could help us make this dream come true? Of course we're willing to pay for this dream

Best regards

Daniel

Sure

You make it to Carson City Nevada area, I would love to take you guys for a spin. Make it here the 9th to about the 15th of August, you will get a show of a lot of old cars - Nevada's Hot August Nights -

Be safe and look forward to meeting you

Charles

RRDee I'm about 400-450 Km away from Indiana, in Ohio. Mine isn't done, but there are enough Mopars in this area I could get you a ride, or we could spend all day going from friend to friend and seeing such cars as a Hemi Dart, 68 GTX, 68 Road Runner,70 SuperBee, 70 Superbird, and more. Even tho you're going the other way, I'm sure if you can get in touch with one person in a town, the odds are you're going to see a lot of Mopars in that area and get at least one and probably more rides in them. Most of us know the mopar people in our town and will show you around.

wow, thanks

Wasn't sure if I'd get any reply but three after only one day is really awesome! That's why I like american people so much.
Unfortunately we won't make it to Nevada until about 1st of September. But we would love to come around then. And 400-450 km is absolutely not far for american conditions, I think. So we will consider that. By the way, does anyone know if there're other muscle car events in the time of mid August to mid September? Maybe there's something that fits into our schedule. I'll contact you via pm when we've made some more detailed plans. We're really looking forward! Thanks so far!

I remember my first Mopar ride! It was in a '70 Duster 340 and the car was probably only a year old! I've loved Mopars ever since! I've been for rides in many and what you want to find, is someone that has something with a strong big block, a 4 speed and knows how to drive it!
That ride will live with you..... forever!
I knew a guy with a '68 Hemi/4spd Charger. That was one of those rides for me!

That ride for me was in my uncle's '69 GTX 440 in the early 70s (he was driving). I'd never been pushed back in the seat like that before, or since. Awesome! RRDee, I hope you and your bud find the rides you're hoping for!
