On a '69 GTX are the hinges body color or black? and what about the springs - I've seen them anodized or painted?!

I believe that 70redbee is correct, but it's your car and you have options, unless you're going for a numbers matching factory resto. Always liked the idea of contrasting/complimentary hinges / springs.
