A? K? member i forget...where do i hunt one these down ? should i look for a donor car? sorry so many questions but need HELP lol thx guys

All your stuff will bolt to the V8 crossmember. Or you can bolt a V8 to your /6 crossmember with schumakers adapters.BTW we call it a K member because its shaped like a big K.

The crossmember has nothing to do with disc brakes.
The basic differences in the K member are: /6 versus V8, and as above, you can use the Schumaker swap mounts I believe 73 and later uses the newer, improved spool motor mounts, which is an advantage For disk, which you can add to any K member back to 67, you need "disk" upper control arms (bigger ball joints, front spindles and ball joints and of course the caliper, disks, etc |
This is a good read: http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpage...nversion.shtml

thx guys for the help
i think im going to try to find a complete k member with spindles, rotors, etc...im guessing will save me money in the long haul instead of hunting down individual parts

Just a little bit of "hard way" experience here, you might want to consider buying a disc brake swap kit. I did what you are talking about on a '68 Charger, drum to disc swap using swap meet parts and by the time I chased all over town buying new rotors to replace the rusted ones, new calipers to replace the seized ones, new hoses to replace the cut old ones, new bearings, you get the idea, I saved less than $10.00 from what the conversion kit cost, and it came with everything I had to buy. Even figuring shipping in I figure the kit would have been cheaper because I would not have had to buy the swap meet parts. Plus for the convenience of having everything delivered right to my front door brand new, no way will I ever do it the other way again.
