Is this the kind of SureGrip with axle buttons or the float pin? (picture)

8.75" SureGrip 489 case.

I have too much end play on the driver side axle. The passenger side has the adjuster so I can set it wherever I want, but there is too much slop on the driver side.

I know that a common cause of this is the axle seat buttons falling out (or never being installed). For some reason I cannot remember, I was under the impression that my unit used a float pin instead of those buttons.

Can anyone tell by these pictures if I should have had the buttons on there, or is that the non-button float pin I see?

Thanks! Any help is sincerely appreciated.
Joe
