Lowered 72-93 truck pics
#2
Here are some pics of mine. Its Motorcycle weather so its getting parked and lowered the right way. As of now its sitting on heated coils up front and some redneck homemade shackles in the back with a leaf pulled. Rest assured im not the one who lowered it, and im going to do this proper. Im about to buy all of my parts to put this together the right way. Van LCAs, stock coils with 1/2 a coil cut, flipping the rear axle, and going to try to make some chevy drop shackles work. Ill post my progress when its done proper. Also can anyone tell me if ill need to notch the frame with a flip and 2" chebby shackles? It don't seam like I will but would like some reassurance. And dodge addict your truck is off the chain! What size rubber are you running? I think I seen you over at moparts and your just on van LCAs, flipped rear with shackle mount moved up?

Back in the mid 80s I dropped the rear of my 77 short box by moving the rear spring mounts on the frame up 3". With no other changes it leveled the truck and I was still able to use it as a truck. If I remember correctly I used car shocks that where 2" shorter. No kits for a Dodge back then.

My oldest son flew back to Alberta today. He wants to get an older small Ram bag it and lower it just to be different. They lift everything and their dog out there, even if they don't need it. He says a lot of pretty boy trucks out there. Our trucks always do work.
If he gets going on it I'll post pictures for sure.
