MoparForum.c0m STICKERS..?

Why dont we have any..? Im pritty sure someone has mentioned it before, most forums have stickers and hats, ect ect. We need to think of something. Post any comments or ideas here.

Right on bro, I have been bangin' that pan for a while. I am all for it. Tim said he was going make/handle something. Back to you Tim.

Who is going to pay for these? Often they need to be ordered in lots of 100. At $5.00 each and a set-up charge of 30-50 bucks, and someone to design the artwork, the money side of this adds up.

How many people will buy one? On my website I give these away, but that costs me a lot of money. http://crazy4carz.com/banner.php

designing is the easy part but the money issue is another thing donations is one thing maybe charging to be part of the website could be another but im sure that wouldnt go to far with most people

78D200 07-06-2009 05:01 PM

there is a thread around here about them I think. I did look into it some but never got to far as most of the companies didn't like talking to non commercial people. I'll look back into it though. Something simple for a design like what Steve has is all that we would be able to do though.

i'm keen .

carlosg7915 07-07-2009 05:03 AM

what made me think about a sticker was the summer nationals i just went to this past weekend. i posted a thread to see who went, and nooooobody responded.
more than 70% of the cars there were mopars. S00oo Im guessin theres a really high percentage of mopar owners who have no knowledge of this site. we need some exposure people. // by the way, big ol stickers on the front windshield are kinda lame [no offense sorry] Im thinkin more around the lines of 9x3 inch decal for the back side window.

Polaradude 07-07-2009 05:21 AM

Hey Carlos, check out page 3 in general discussions there is a thread there about this exact topic. It's called " stickers or something to pass out "
Let's get the ball rolling man, I am in.:D

deadkelly 07-08-2009 12:09 AM

yeah

our biggest mopar day is on the 26th July MOPAR SUNDAY @ willowbank raceway . now i just rang a mate who's brother has a sticker making machine . if you guys can come up with something to put on the stickers i could at leased get some made up for mopar Sunday . I'm getting a price off him tomorrow for 50 . you guys would have to email me the design so i can email it to him . ( if you left it to me there'd be moparforums.com with a mushroom cloud after it hahaha ) hit me back if any ideas . ether way i'll chuck in for some for sure .

carlosg7915 07-08-2009 01:58 PM

50 bucks for a decal? out here decals run 20 bucks the most. 20 bucks if you want it done on the spot.

I think dk's talking quantity.

theomahamoparguy 07-08-2009 05:53 PM

hey, there was a video on U-tube where the guy made professional looking stickers with his color printer and some software {graphics I guess}. cant remember the site or name though. Makes me think a large office supply could handle it.
Just an idea.......maybe for a prototype......

Zach8200 07-08-2009 07:13 PM

ive got a design up my sleeve ill see what i can do it may be a while

78D200 07-08-2009 07:20 PM

I've been talking to DK and just waiting to hear back.

Klamath 07-08-2009 09:28 PM

Check out Blizzard Designs or waterfowldecals.com, same company. I dont think he will charge a set up fee. I had him make some decals for my goose hunting trailer and boat, and they are very good quality.

78D200 07-09-2009 03:29 AM

I'm thinking 3" tall and 36" long in plaine white with the font being arial, just to keep it simple for now. What do you guys think? longer? taller? different font?

Thats fine dead, some people might only want a bumper sticker. A quote for both is fine with me.

78D200 07-09-2009 07:35 AM

This is what I got back from Waterfowl decals

Something that size and qty you are looking at $4.90 ea. These should retail well into $10 or more. The size is what hangs this price so high, to bring it down to a size like 12" wide would bring them down to $1.70

Just type it our but I wouldn't as you will start to get spam mail like crazy.

The stickers look good, but we can not use any Mopar, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, AMC, Jeep, Eagle, etc. emblems as they could legally come after us.

thanks for the heads up about the spam :( . i already told him about copyright no worries , also the font ? is called 426 hemi head , thats what he used ;) .

carlosg7915 07-11-2009 03:35 PM

what image comes to mind when u think Mopar? for me its a big block engine, or pistons. Maybe we could incorporate that in the sticker decal..? examples: http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w...bum/decals.gif http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w...bum/images.jpg http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w...d-White-Po.jpg http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w...E2YAXICAHG.jpg http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w...DBCZWDCA3A.jpg http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w.../u12013799.jpg different colors is always good. a symbol before the website name definetly gives it life. but again these are just some examples to get this thing going.

deadkelly 07-11-2009 05:49 PM

just remember they have to make a template for each colour , so costs would blow out . ol mates getting some prices for me tomorrow , he has to ring the vinyl suppliers to see how much sheets are . all the money is in set up not the materials , so the easier for them the better or cheaper . ol mate said white is good on glass especially on tinted glass . i don't know about yous but i think smaller bumper stickers are more versatile .

Sorry guys and gals. Due to the lack of planning by people at my work, I've been having to put in some 12+ hour days with only about 3 hours of sleep a night. I'll see what I can do this weekend.
