New guy here . with 727 question
 

Hi everyone . Washington st guy here with lots of prodjects going . 58 dodge truck and 331 hemi . 78 dodge truck and 440 install . plus a 64 merc and a 55 pontiac . Lots of stuff on my plate . My first question is the 440 install i am doing has a short shaft 727 on it that i would like to use but for drive shaft reasons it needs to be long . Is swapping the shaft easy enough or should i look for a long trans . thanks for any help

I would, however, venture a guess that the long shaft housings are much easier to come by

hey 440 , im down here in vancouver wa . . right across the river in portland next week is a annual hugeormous swap meet . im there with bells on . lookin for a 8 3/4 rear or / and a big block long tail 727 .
