Possible 71-72 Roadrunner Find x2

Hey new to the forum.
So I found two roadrunners 71 or 72 I believe, going to have a look this week (I've only seen them from afar and briefly talked to the guy).
I am new to this kind of vehicle and am not sure what to look for in the car. Where are the VINs and what is the more desirable traits/badging. The one that has an engine and tranny runs but looks like it drifted into a pole, the side is dented in. The other doesn't have engine or tranny. Both look rust free but been sitting for awhile (paints faded). So question is What's the BALL PARK range I should pay for the pair and also where/what to look for on the VIN.

Appreciate any help
THANKS!

Welcome to the forum,
There are many sites that can help you decode the VIN so find one on your phone before you go and then you will be ready when you look at the cars. I would be ware of cars with no titles (even parts cars).:)

I say get both and build one good one.... Piss on the numbers.... Just my 2 cents.

thanks do you know where all the VINs are on the vehicle?

Plymouth71 03-29-2017 12:03 PM

Also what are cars like that worth 4 k for the pair or less?

RacerHog 03-29-2017 12:06 PM

Vins.. Are up on the dash on the drivers side lower part of the windshield. or on the sticker of the drivers door.

4K for the pair would be a great price I would say... That might even be a little low balled... :)

Keep us posted...

A 74 or75 doesn't have the same value........

Plymouth71 03-29-2017 05:12 PM

Ya I was disappointed but what do you think the pair would be worth ones got some rust in the wheel wells the other has probably unrepairable side damage from a pole
2000-4000?

RacerHog 03-29-2017 05:31 PM

Only do it if you like the body style... If not hold off... Just my 2 cents

Plymouth71 03-29-2017 05:38 PM

Ya now that it's that body style I was planning on just flipping them maybe get one running clean it up. But I don't know what they're worth?

Iowan 03-29-2017 05:43 PM

I'd pass..........

Iowan 03-30-2017 12:11 PM

Very little market for a 74 or 5....

I would pass too, and whatever you think they need to get them going you can plan on about double the effort!!! They always take way more work than you thought they would...
