Which power steering pump?

Anybody know which power steering pump was most common in the 1966 Plymouth Satellite? Was it a Chrysler or Saginaw?

What's the easiest way to tell? One guy I talked to at the parts store said it should say right on the unit, but I'm not seeing anything. The cap on my pump does have a "S" on the top, is all I see.

Will probably have to drive car to parts store and have them compare pics of the unit, but thought I'd give a try here to at least see which was most common.

Thank you

You should have the round potbelly one.

What brand name is the pot belly one?

Went down to parts store quite a bit after posting above. Guy there said it's a Thompson power steering pump. Don't know where that name came from as the other 2 parts stores I called the day before said it either had a Chrysler or Saginaw.

None of the stores have what I need!

Time to do some more searching, I guess.

You need this one and I found a rebuilt unit at O'Reillys.http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2869&ppt=C0031

That pump you linked to says it's for a 1968 Dodge Dart 270
V8 - 5.2L vin F 318ci - GAS.

As positive as your post sounds about that being the one I need, I have to ask, what makes you sure about the one you posted being the one I need?

When I enter my vehicles info, this is the one that comes up, http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2869&ppt=C0031

Neither of those pumps have my engine size, 5.9L, 361ci, even listed under the compatibility section. The part number you linked to is, Part # 20-6115. The one listed for my engine is Part # : 20-6074

Now, as confused as ever, but at least have another place to check at tomorrow. Forgot about O'Reilly's. They even have a new store being built that is even closer than the other local one listed on their site.

Same pump. 60's through late 60's used the potbelly pump. I only cheated and used the easy link for my car.

I don't think I remember seeing if that pump you linked to had the Thompson pump or not though.

The one I linked to does have a Thompson pump as does the one on my car.

Appreciate the help very much!! :)
