R.I.P

R.I.P 1977 Dodge D-100

come to find out my D100 was crushed recently.
it had bin sitting in my a friend of mines impound yard as a favor. he told me i could keep the truck there until i finished working ont he Polara so i could put the truck in the garage. said i could keep there as long as needed.

had i guy call me wanting to buy a couple days ago, i told him where it was, he called me back stating that he couldnt find the truck anywhere in lot. so i drove down there and the truck was gone. no trace of it ever being there.

so i started asking around with the other companys that work in the indutrial complex where the yard in located. they had said they believet hat is was taken to the crusher.

so i'm wondering if there is any legal action i can take against this guy for crushing my truck, with out saying anything to me. since it wasnt really impounded.

but either way she will be greatly missed :(

Sorry to say, but unless you got legal type agreement papers, you're screwed.

If you can prove that you owned it, and find from where it was crushed that they crushed it, you have action you can take.

i have the title and i will find out where it was crushed, what would i do after i have those ?

You would then be able to figure out who crushed it as they should have a record of that. I would then approach that individual with a value for the vehicle and see what happens.

That's too bad because either way we lost another 70s era Dodge truck-they're getting to be pretty rare.
