Radial Tires wear quicker?

I've heard that radial tires wear quicker than bias tires on old cars...is this true?

I ask because my front tires have only about 15,000 miles on them, and already the tread on the outside is getting kind of low. I had an alignment not too long ago, so I don't think that's the problem. WADDAYA THINK?

Outside tire wear is an alighment problem !!! What you need is an old school alignment guy that knows Mopars and how to set them up. Not some computer nerd who does what the computer says.

And the wear isn't gonna be a factor of the type of tire, but the compound the rubber is made of. Sfot tires give better traction, but wear faster. Hard tires wear longer but are slippery. I remember a set of Dunlop GT Qualifiers in Bias belted, I had about 35,000 miles on them with very little wear, but I could light those things up and do 200 ft long burn outs, tires just smoking off. I think about 20K of those miles were done without the car moving lol

Ya heard wrong. Tire wear is something that has increased VASTLY in my lifetime. Tire tread life GUARANTEES are way longer than tires used to last when I was a kid.
