rust repair
 
i own a very very rusty 1962 chrysler 300-h the frame rail is rusted alot one the drivers side frount. is it possible to replace this rusted part with a good one from a 62 newport parts car?

You can cut and weld in a new section of frame. This is done regularly. I would reinforce the join with an inner C-plate just for strength. Just measure and be sure it fits. Alternately, you can have a welder fabricate the part for you.

This is NOT a do-it-yourselfer project. This is a job for someone with experience in frame work, fabrication, and structural bodywork.

Alignment spec's are critical and you will not likely get it right on the garage floor. If nothing else the car MUST be completely level when this is done and that is almost never the case in a garage. Save up and pay a pro for this repair.
