seat mounts

does a bench seat car also have the mounts for a bucket seat like they use the same frame style for bench and bucket or are the floors different in each car?? like would my 72 satellite have bucket seat mounts even though its a bench??

well fromwhat i can remember, the buckets have the mounts and you just have to drill the holes towards the center of the car {4 of 'em, 2 on each side} I think there might even be little divits in the floor sheetmetal so you know where to drill. But definitly, the floor pans were the same.

For the outer rails on the seat, you may be able to get by with this. The inner rails, near the tranny tunnel are different. Seems like they are shorter in height to make up for some of the floor pressings. Also, the floor of a bucket car has two plates welded in on each side for the inner mounts. They help spread the weight and clamping power of the seat around. Pretty simple to make, just to be on the safe side.
