side pipes or not ????

i am thinking of adding a set of side pipes to my dart before i do i would like to ask for any input from the loyal mopars lovers on this forum what they think if i do this it will come after i change my dash pad redo my seats and finish my console i am making so who out there has some thoughts on side pipes do i add them or skip them

SKIP.

Side pipes just look dumb IMO...

Buy THESE: http://compare.ebay.com/like/2304926...=sbar&_lwgsi=y

Skip them and get the tips like blue 68 showed you. Side pipes had their time and looked cool on a van, in the '70s but, on your Mopar? NO!

skip them, but i would consider doing a side EXIT exhaust out the side of the car infront of the rear wheel...never seen it on a dart before but on most others it looks neat.
i've seen squared of tips like that on a ram 1500 around my area, they look good too.

Besides they burn legs and melt your girlfreinds hose. They also sound dumb when your in the car because you only hear 4 cyls.

I wouldn't want them. They simply don't look good on your car in my opinion.

Wish I had some pictures of my old '70 RR I like the look and the sound.

The problem with side exit on something like a Dart (considering it on my 67) is CLEARANCE. You either need to find a compact thin muffler up front to have enough room to come out at an angle before the rear tire, or

something I was considering was getting some mufflers with the inlet/ outlet on the SAME END. This would allow a good big muffler to sit up in the rear recesses where they belong, then sweep out and to to side. Someone, forget who, make a muff with an end and a side outlet "perfect."
