sublime or black?

Without pissin' in anyones corn flakes, sublime was a high impact colour from 1970. Don't get me wrong, love the colour. I guess I am just wondering if you want to keep the car somewhat period correct. Once again I am not trying to be Capt.Buzzkill bro.
ps: Black wasn't even a Dodge colour in 73.

its not a numbers car the interior has been upgraded its a hot rod and to honest even if it was numbers and original it was a 318 car and frankly not very valuable wise so i figure why not be extremely vulgar besides paint is paint and can be redone

It's just my opinion. I cringe when I see a lovely 66 sprayed sublime. I love the color, don't get me wrong.
I thought in another thread you said the car was a 360 car? But it's non-original? I must have missed that bit.
I wanted to shoot my 53 in plum crazy with sassy grass flames, but my conscience got the better of me. No one had those colors in the mid-late 50's, and since I am going for that period look, it would be inappropriate.
I had an awesome 69 Coronet with a killer 440 in it; she was still F8 green with the two-tone green interior and the fiberglass 69 SB hood. I didn't care what color she was because folks just looked at her taillights anyway. I had an F5 and an F3 Coronet too; not my fave colors, but they kinda grow on you.

If I had to choose, in order my fave BB, of course it would be the 426, but then it would be the 413 cross ram, then the 383 and last the 440.
So yeah, have fun with it. My 67 was originally a slant 6, but had the SB K member and 318 upon purchase. She was already B7 when I got her too, so leaving it all that way (for now).
Personally, I dig the "uglier", less flashy colors. Everyone wants a glowing banner of a car that screams "look how fast I am!"...I had to drive through a speedtrap of a town twice a day. You could speed by 10 over the limit in a F100, a Caravan, or a Lincoln. God forbid you're 5 under in a '68 Charger, in crummy original bright green paint. I was always pulled over. So was the red corvette and the yellow chevelle, though we didn't ever race or even know each other. So since then? HUGE fan of sedate colors in quiet hopped up cars.
Think about it, when you go to a show, what is the ratio of sporty, fun colors to ugly or plain colors? Pretty high! So sometimes "ugly" can work to your benefit....lol.
My old BF had a 72 Charger that was black, he never got pulled over and it was a 383 (non original) car. The 68 Charger was always pulled over, and so was our yellow 72 Challenger. My bronze 66 Coronet 500?? Nary a glance from the PoPo.
But in the end, it's not only your car, but your too. Personally, I'd go with a nice unusual dark blue or something...I DO hope you'll post some pics once paint is done?!

I prefer it for the higher RPM. Yes, I know...no replacement for displacement! Out here I can get either motor very reasonably.
I think I'm mostly fond of it because of all the cars I've owned my favorite was a factory 383. The memories of my sister and I stomping a mudhole in some of the boys back in Tulsa on summer Friday nights and all.
So I guess it's a nostalgia thing mostly.

I say Green. I have a Black 64' Fury and they do look nice all black and chrome. But black shows off every minor scratch and speck of dirt. Never seen a sublime Mopar in person but Black ones are a dime a dozen!
