throttle cable #????

throttle cable #????

My throttle cable snapped this morning on my 72 dart with holley and its a automatic with a slap shifter. Anyone know a part number or is this something I can get at a local parts store?????? Thanks

Throttle cables are a "dealer item". You never could buy them at parts stores Only local way I know of to fix one temporarily is to go to a motorcycle shop or even a bicycle shop and get a generic cable with a button on one end, thread it through, and solder the other end on.

Usually if they break, the housing is damaged from the rough cable sawing back and forth.

I don't know where you get replacements anymore, either find something newer that you can adapt or check the restore suppliers like Year One.
