Trying Decode Motor Plate Numbers E 440

Trying to figure out what type of car my 440 came out of. Currently in a 1969 Dodge Charger RT. I strongly believe motor is original but not certain. Marked on Block Vin Pad E 440 12 16HP2

Also trying to figure out if I need a weighted stall convertor or a non weighted convertor for that motor.

I would appreciate all help. Thanks Ben

Check All weights are located and tack welded on the torque converter ...

the Use a flex plate with the balance built into it. Then you can use any converter

Look on the bottom right side center of the block, close to the rail where the oil pan meets the block. In '69, if it's a numbers matching engine, you will see at least a portion of the serial number on a flat machined pad. If the serial number matches, then you have the original engine in the car.

The E440 IS correct for a 69 model car, so you just might be right
