How much are you asking for it john

Is it running? .. just how far did you go into the rebuild of the engine?

The motor is completly restored! The work was done by a local machine shop, have all of the receipts.
As for price: Make me an offer! I have a good idea what the car is worth. |
PS: Yes the motor runs! Car runs, and is driveable, just needs the bumpers and lights put back on to make legal!
You have a good idea on what it is worth ...what is that ? And what type of piston work was done?
Well the car is actually worth what someone is willing to pay for it. :) My research shows the car should be worth $7,000 - $12,000 as it sits, and completly restored it should be worth $28,000 - $35,000! I'm negotiable on the selling price!

Does this price seem to be inline?
Where did you come up with those $$$ #'s ?
It's hard to judge on this car since I haven't seen one for sale just like it. I did a two prong approach to find the price. I looked all over the internet, and while I was not able to find an exact match to this car, the cars that I saw around the same time frame, with either the 383 or 440 (I know the 440 has higher value) they all were around this value. I also had a local car club give me an estimated appraisal. There estimated completed appraisal was $35,000. Like I said this was my research, but the car is only worth what the market is offering to pay for it!
Very true ... do you want to see the TRUE fair-market-value ? .. put it on eBay with starting price of a HUN ...with no reserve !!
I know this is off topic but do you know where I can find what the original colours for a 68 Coronet R/T are for the suspension, K-member, brakes etc. ?
I posted it on ebay with a reserve of $10,000! I got an offer for $8,000! I was being greedy at the time so I didn't take the offer! No reserve makes me nervous! I paid $2,500 for the car and have put in another $2,500 + my time, so if I can't get what I put into the car and a little extra........what's the point in selling? My big reason for selling the car is for space, but I would rather sacrifice some space then lose money on the investment!
I thought I read that there were only 2,500 of these cars made! Do you know if that is true? I haven't been able to find this year, this model for any type of comparison! |
Hotwheels - I wish I could help you but I don't know where you would find that information. My assumption is the K-frame and suspension would be a flat black, but that is only a guess!
Am I to assume that there is no interest on this site?
