1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible

One of 1,111 ever produced, this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible has undergone a total frame-off restoration. The original "383" was completely rebuilt to factory specifications, fitted with polished and ported heads and then fully balanced and blueprinted. The transmission was completely rebuilt and the rear end was rebearing. Suspension was restored with new springs, shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends and upper and lower control arm bushings. The brake system is new from front to back including all lines and hoses. The exhaust is a 2 1/2 inch with dual Dynaflow mufflers. Mechanically, everything on this car has been restored to new condition.
The body was completely stripped to bare metal and any rust was cut out and replaced with new metal. The finished body was professionally block sanded and refinished in the original color using the renowned Sikkens paint process. This has produced a show quality job with no considerable amount of filler. The convertible top is new, as well as all weather stripping and rubbers. The bumpers have been re-chromed and new body chrome moldings, door handles, etc have been installed. New correct Magnum 500 wheels finish off the exterior. The undercarriage was also painted and detailed to show standards.
The interior has had all painted surfaces refinished and a new carpet and door trim panels installed. The console has been restored and the original seat upholstery is in good condition with no rips or tears. Complete detailing has also included the trunk with a new trunk mat and repainting.
Muscle cars have seen very volatile pricing in the past couple of years and this market is just now starting a fresh rebound in value. No expense has been spared on this quality restoration of a most desirable, matching numbers Road Runner convertible and it is valued accordingly.
