69 1/2 A12 Road Runner

For Sale. 1969 M code A12 Road Runner. 440 6Bbl 727 4.10 Dana and is a So.Ca. Car. Arrow straight and rust free. Original Red now Charcoal Grey and has black Interior. I purchased this car from the original owner in 1974 and have lots of the original papers including the window sticker. It has 69k miles on it. Original motor is out of car but is included. Engine in car is a 70 or 71 HP2 out of a Cuda. The only original non-maintanance(Plugs Wires & filters) Parts I do not have is two of the Rims and the exhaust pipes and mufflers. This car has spent most of its life in the back of my garage. It has not been started in about 15 years but did run when parked. I do not have the time for all my toys so some must go.
Price is $48k if I get it running or $45k as it sits.
May trade for nice Big Block 1961 Fury or sport Fury 2 Dr Htp or Convert.

The $15K car is not a original M code A12 car it is a H code. Don't know what you bought. If you Bought a 69,000 mile rust free California M code A12 with a spare 6 pack engine for $18K you got one hell of a deal. Post pics of the Vin & the Car and I'll believe it.

Great car price well, bit too high

First of all you have a great car, wish I had it ) but the high dollar BJ stuff is all meticulously restored, with proper motor and date codes etc,, Those kind of restorations are very spendy but That is what the big buck guys want, they also want turn key completed cars. The Hemi and 6 pack project cars just are not bringing the crazy money of a couple years back before the market crashed on housing and everyone lost their 401K dough. I do hope you get top dollar for your car, might have to wait and hope for the economy to improve. Best Wishes on your sale ) ;o) CD

i would agree,, the market is in the dump. and prices for unrestored cars are from 10(no motors)-25K(with motors), 18k is a fair price site unseen,, i'd offer 15-20+k today.
the prices for the BJ, cars are often, RE-BOUGHT, prices,, that means,, the cars are boosted up, and re-bought by the original seller,(to protect their investment) and or(when not getting their price, in a no reserve auction.), then sold off line. or bought by some billionair, whose had too many cocktails, with a young bimbo hanging on his shoulder(BJ VEGAS), (like a yacht club)

were are you located?? i'd love to come look at the car,, send more photos if you can to me jefferychester@yahoo.com

do you have the build sheet? fendertag? original trans? motor(yes) send me those photos, looks like a post car, auto, bench seat, nothing really special, in the A12 world. but an A12. but send me some pics,, maybe come up with a price..

REAL prices for restored or semi ones, are in the 40-65.000 yes, and yes prices for NUT and bolt, trailer queens are 55-85+, you can get a "j" code, RR, hemi project for 11-12K(no motor) thanks jc

I am located in Murrieta California. I bought the car from the original owner in 1973-74. The build sheet I have never looked for. I have the window sticker as well as all the original manuals. It is a 727 post car with bench seat. Fender tag is on the car. Car as I stated above comes with two engines. The original which is out of the car and a 71 big rod HP2 that came out of a Cuda and is in the car. The trans and rear end are original and never been out.

Any A-12 car is special and all collectors know this, I wouldnt jump on a low ball offer but I would feel out the market a bit, if you have to sell, I am sure you will do ok as you have had the car a long time and havent had to spend much as it appears unrestored. Maybe one guy my not dig a post car with a bench seat and auto tranny, but it could be the hot ticket for the next guy. I personally wouldnt turn down any a-12 car that was priced right ,even if I didnt particularly like the color. All a-12s are rare, low production muscle cars. Values will go back up in time but now is not the time, and pricing will allways be based on desirability, rarity and condition. Best wishes CD

I do not need to sell. I'm just being realistic in that I will most likely (Unless I hit the Loto) never get to restoring all 12 cars I have and am also wanting to free up some space. I would like to see these three go to good homes. Eventually I will get them cleaned up and maybe fired up and try Ebay. But I have way too many other projects right now. I am in the middle of restoring another car right now that needs alot of work so how soon I will get around to the Ebay thing, Who knows. By past experiece if one is not in a hurry the car eventually sells and this one may sell sooner rather than later as there is a fella that has been out to look at the car that calls me every couple weeks or so to see if I still have it while he tries to get the money together. Time will tell. One thing I can't stress to much is the body on this car is as smooth as glass. No door nicks, no dings No Rust !

Not to bust bubbles or anything, and not all are the same, but this is from THIS year....:
69 383 4sp Roadrunner
69 383 Auto Roadrunner
69 Hemi 4sp Roadrunner (reserve not met)

Granted none of them are the a-12 but still in line with the times. I have watched the B-J auctions a little more this year, seeing where the market has went, and it has went in the tank compared to 2-3 years ago. No crazy numbers as in the past.
