Dodge Aspen / Plymouth Volare Rear Side Window Louver Shades

I'm not seeing a lot of activity here... are there MOPAR/Chysler/Plymouth/Dodge/Rapid Transit System/Scat Pack forums that have a lot of activity where I can also advertise these...?.:

Collector selling pair of used factory original Mopar rear-quarter (side) window louvers/ shades for your 1976 1977 1978 1979 Dodge Aspen R/T or Plymouth Volare RoadRunner. These are the original body color snap-in shades with HORIZONTAL (not vertical, as I think the early R/T and Volare RoadRunner used ) louvers, removed just recently from a mint original Southern California Aspen. EXCELLENT CONDITION. Asking $140/pair, plus shipping. In Pasadena, SoCal. E-mail for pics (available by Sunday eve)...

THANKS!

You have some rare pieces there, and the trick for you is going to be finding someone with that body and a desire for those parts. Doesn't seem like an easy task and you might find a larger audience on E-Bay, sorry to say I don't think we have many members here with those cars. Good luck and keep this thread up as long as you need to, just post here if you do sell them so people will not bother you after the sale.

Thanks for the input and encouragement, 340. I know it's a tough audience to find, and I have had no luck so far on CL or over at Aspen RT Forum. I do indeed need to join and do the E-bay thing, as I have a lot of stuff filling the garage, a lot of it non-automotive.

Years ago, I once found some rare parts in a salvage yard from another 1970s "spoilers and stripes musclecar" -- the Monza Mirage -- that I just couldn't let go to the crusher. I took the entire body kit home and advertised it in the local free paper, thinking it would take three years to sell. A guy ended up picking it all up within three hours of the ad going in. So I guess you never know with these "cult car" collectors...!

Unfortunately, the louvers you have are actually quite common, I have 7 sets of them. I usually get about $60-$70(set) for them. The vertical louvers from the 76/77 F-bodies go for alot more due to them only being available on the RT/RR's. Whereas the Horizintal versions from 78-80 were not exclusive to the RT/RR's, but were available on the duster package, sunrise package cars etc.
