1966 Bright Red Plymouth Satellite

Well Guys and gals, the day has finally come, and the Satellite is done...as done as my budget will allow anyhow... Originally a bright red color (or surface rust red as we named it:D) from 1966 now a "Viper Red Clearcoat" what a difference. But tell me what you think! New floorpans, frame rail repaired, paint, motor freshened up, tranny and rear end service, headliner, door panels, rear window deck, new tires, electronic igntion upgrade, etc, etc...
Before and after pics...
Before.

Lookin' good!!!

Very nice! The red looks awesome and I really like the look of the steel wheels and dog dish hub caps. My project 67 GTX clone (3 years long so far) is now in the paint phase, so I hope to have it completed by the end of the year and enjoy the heck out of it in the spring!!!

You done good!!!

Thanks, I love the Dog Dish "Cop" hub caps. I always think of the Blues Brothers Movie. " It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?"

Here are all of the pics for my Satellite.

simply amazing work man ! i love it !

did you do all the interior <-- ? work your self ?

Oldsmobileman 08-18-2009 04:53 AM

Believe it or not the seats are all original. The car had white seat covers over the original seats. The only seat that is really wore is the drivers seat, we will get a new cover for it eventually, but for now it's drivin' time. The door panels are new from pui for the front and rear seats. The carpet is new from trim parts and we installed it, and the headliner was done by a shop (we were lost looking at cloth in a roll).
