1970 Roadrunner Project

I have the Roadrunner in the body shop and I have a 440 6 pack engine being looked at by a auto machinist. And have been collecting parts for this engine since it was apart and had only the block crank shaft and pistons and rods and heads.

RacerHog 07-01-2018 04:50 PM

Welcome..... Looks like a great project !
Did you race it?
How long have you had the car?
Do you have most of the parts to get it back together after the paint and body are done?

Iowan 07-01-2018 05:20 PM

Looks like fun!

1970 Roadrunner Project

Well I need a cam and rockers and the bar and lifters and timing chain and cover and intake. Also an air cleaner and trans and torque convertor and bucket seats and side mirror and door and trunk locks and all interior parts

IRON MAN 07-02-2018 05:01 PM

I never raced the car but the one who did stripped everything not needed. So I rebuild I had 2 other 1970 roadrunners but this one is need of a lot more work. And since my father died last year I need a hobby

RacerHog 07-02-2018 06:35 PM

Sorry for the loss of your pops.....
Sounds like you got your work cut out for you...

Keep us posted and how the build is coming with some up dated pictures...

Cheers !!

Nice story, I've got a 64 Ford that has family ties, they say sentimental value has no value but I think its priceless.

IRON MAN 07-04-2018 03:48 PM

Also I was told that AMD has their own installation center and I bought AMD parts anybody use this service?

Now to get it all out of the hidden areas.... :)
Now you got to hurry up and get a sealer on it.

IRON MAN 07-24-2018 05:07 PM

Already done and this week the quarter start to be cut off to make room for the 2 new ones

RacerHog 07-24-2018 08:46 PM

Nice....

IRON MAN 08-05-2018 01:55 PM

I am looking for a bench seat for my road runner and a friend said that a duster bench seat with an arm rest would fit. So what do all you folks think?

Iowan 08-05-2018 07:34 PM

Seems like an A body seat would be to narrow. But good luck.

Now the meat work starts

Coronet 500 09-09-2018 06:35 AM

This would be a good time to take out that inner fenderwell bump to get a large tire up in there.

IRON MAN 10-04-2018 10:21 AM

Well both outer fender wells and quarters and trunk pan and driver pan are being replaced.https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...0b73e8bae6.jpg

RacerHog 10-04-2018 07:00 PM
