very nice.....tell us about the motor

toad490 03-06-2010 11:49 PM

Just a quick update, I havn't had much time lately to work on it but I've got the rear end in now, I relocated the springs and got Caltracs and their Monoleaf springs in with Rancho 9000 shocks. The rear end is a fabricatied 9'' with Richmond Pro 4.11 gears, spool, 1350 chrome molly yoke, Strange nodular 3rd member, Mark Williams 35 spline axels and Wilwood discs.

Here's the motor's goodies.
4.25" KB billet crank, ally main caps, girdle, R&R 7.135" ally rods, BME pistons & tapered tool steel pins, 11-1 comp, Childs & Alberts gapless rings.

Staightline solid roller .731/.707, offset Comp Cams lifters, bushed lifter bores, Smith Bros. pushrods, Ferrea Competition Plus valves, Isky Gold Stripe springs, T&D 1.7 rockers.

Indy 440-1 heads CNC ported and polished, 2.25/1.88 valves. Indy single plane and 1050 Dominator. TTI step tube headers.

MSD 7 Digital ignition, MSD billet distributor and MSD plug wires. The Mallory distributor in the pic was just to plug the hole until I got the MSD.

Next to go in will be the tranny, we started with an empty case and put in.
Hardened input shaft, 4 pinion sportsman planetaries, billet steel front drum Ally rear, A&A transbrake, deep pan with bottom sucker swinging pickup, a bunch of other ally stuff, servos ect. 4500 stall convertor with billet face. CSR carbon fiber shield.

Anyways I'll try to keep up on my progress a little better. The weather has been great so I'm getting the itch again.

Yes it does, and they are specific to the Indy heads.
