My First car...the second time around.
 

I bought this car when I was 16 in 1984, sold it before leaving for US Air Force in 1989. The guy that bought it let it set in his yard for 22 years. I had been trying to buy it back off and on for all those years and had just about given up when he called out of the blue and offered to sell it back. Its mine again and forever will be as long as there is air in my lungs. Hope to start restoring soon. Still a very solid car with minimal rust. The guy never opened the trunk...it was still full of the goodies that I had sold with the car...67 GTX hood scoops, extra Belvedere gas cap, hood ornaments, and some of my AutoZone receipts from 1988. Time capsule...

Good to hear stories like that. You don't often get a second chance.

Hang on to those hood scoops as they are very hard to find!$$$$

Congrats ! Your a lucky guy to get it back. I know of two others that have found their old car. One by sheer accident. Sold his Copper 340 Swinger in the early 70s and just a few years ago saw a add for a black 340 swinger and when he went to look at it he found bits of Copper paint here and there. Turned out after checking the vin it was his old car !

Sometimes the story is worth more than the score, and this is one of those times. Congrats!!!!
