I worked for Kosmoskis House of Kolor in Minneapolis Minnesota a very long time ago, so kolor has never left me. It was a cool place to work as a young body man, I learned a lot especially what quality work was.

Body work, I could never get into it very heavy for some reason, Just didn't care much for it I guess. I just kind of shunned away from it for some odd reason? But I did get to be just ok with painting most of what I needed to paint.

Well I have no skill at either. Fortunately, I am good at writing cheques...lol

I am the same. Just cant get the hang of it. Its a special skill. Just like drywall. I can hang it just fine but trying to finish it is another story.

In primer. Just a few more pieces to get ready for primer.

Sorry for lack of updates. Went back to work full time for my ex-employer until end of December. Desperately short of help. Truck is all primer ed and final sanding on many parts has taken place. Undercoating on cab should be happening over next few days. Fenders are in the paint booth awaiting undercoating on the underside and then rock guard on the top side. As usual, shop is still short staffed. Dennis gets in for a few hours a couple of days a week to help move it forward. Slow going and it's frustrating trying to get it across the finish line. But...it is getting there...lol

Finally, after two and a half years, some colour is being laid down. Fenders are done in rockguard. Engine compartment firewall is done in rockguard. Paint on firewall looks dark with no direct light on it. Put light on it and it really pops. A bit of work left getting passenger door fitting just right. Then more paint. It's been frustrating and times, and there's still lots left to do, but it sure feels good. It's been worth it.

Haha....I wish. The top guy has been off the last two days with the flu...so I don't see any weekend work happening.

Well, long time coming. But cab, doors and tailgate scheduled for paint booth tomorrow. Way over budget and a year and a half behind schedule, it has been a lesson in patience and perseverance. Still lots left to do, but just being able to see some paint happening is an indescribable feeling. Has been very frustrating at times, but I've loved every minute of it and I would do it again.

Oh yeah. Still lots to do yet. But just seeing parts of it in paint gives me hope that we are much closer to finishing.

Seeing parts in paint is ALWAYS encouraging, it's a huge step. Even for the people working on your project just having parts in paint means the end is near.😎

No, it doesn't have a name. I just looked through a stack of colour samples and narrowed it down to this one. It is actually quite dark until exposed to light.

It looks a lot like what I painted our 1970 Coronet, 1974 New Yorker "Chrysler Dark Green Metallic".
