Mocked up. Frame will be shortened by about four inches. Next step will be to get cracking on the body work.

RacerHog 04-14-2016 05:26 PM

Now thats going to turn out Bitch'in..... :)

Iowan 04-15-2016 04:27 AM

What do you have for power?

Leem 04-15-2016 09:25 AM

I am going with the drive train that was already on the 90 frame, a 360 4 speed.

Iowan 04-15-2016 09:52 AM

That will work great, I thought you might have an oil burner in it.

Still mocked up. Some cab work done. Lots of measuring happening. Will require some custom work to make everything fit to give it as original a look as possible.

Not sure. That's the way they came on the 90 when I purchased it.

Firewall in. Modifications next to get rad cowl at correct level. Final mockup in the next week or two hopefully. Then the body work can begin.

RacerHog 05-27-2016 06:23 AM

That got delayed...but should happen overnight the next week or two. Cab is now in place and rad cowl mount in process of being modified. Box is just about set....still discussing how high we want it to sit. If all goes well actual body work should be underway by end of June. Hurry up and wait I am finding...lol

RacerHog 05-27-2016 09:41 AM

Well..... Thats a big project... Should come out awesome and worth the wait.... :)

Frame finally shortened. Metal arriving tomorrow so fabricating of running boards can begin. Rad cowel mount modifications about to start. Discussed design for rear bumper which these didn't have, but we think a modern touch with a step type bumper might be a good idea as this is going to be a daily driver and not a garage queen. She'll be asked to work like any other pickup.

Work slowed a bit last couple of weeks. Wrong parts arrived, weather got nice and the beer flowed. Lol. Getting back on track. Waiting for seats to arrive so final setting of steering column can take place. Getting closer to actual body work being done. But first, many components like wiper motors and heater being fit as some custom work has to be done there. Once that's done, cab can come back off.

We'll forgive the slow process this time just don't let it happen again!
