1986 B250 Camperwagon | Which Tranny?
 

Recently bought a 1986 B250 Dodge Camperwagon with a 318 in it. Trying to figure out which transmission it has in it. From what I can find it seems it would be the 727 but I cannot find anything concrete on it. Anybody know what it would be?

We need to swap out the 318 for a larger engine as it just does not have enough grunt for this big van.

Most all vans from the 80;s came with a 727.. I would sugest maybe a rear gear change (3.91) and a nice 360 motor and a 518/42 overdrive trans.
To install a big block Is possible I think you will need to make a custom engine cover ??? Very few vans were big blocks...
