BB 727 transmission from motorhome help

transmission has a brake drum on the rear and i have seen a few on ebay that have taken the drum off and has a yoke. has anyone done this or know someone who has? The output shaft is a 23 spline and i am being told that no one makes a 23 spline anymore. The transmission came from a 1978 motorhome.

motor home 727

I had a 1976 727 from a motor home. It did not have a brake drum on the back though. I just finished changing it over to a long output shaft to use on my B body. I am not familiar with a brake drum on a 727 but have seen them on GM trannys. I not sure what spline mine is but I could look Wed night if you need one

I just took a look the book on 727 and the extension housing you described were more common on trucks, When I get a chance Ill look in the later chapters and see what I can dig up. By the way, if your thinking of doing any work to the 727, I would recommend buying the transmission Handbook by Carl H. Munroe, It helped me out big time when I rebuilt mine.
