A couple of 440 questions, help please.
Question 1 is this: Can I use the same coil for a point distributor on an electronic distributor?
Question 2 is this: Is there an article on the site or any pictures of how the alternator is mounted to the 440? I just kind of installed it as best I could figure out, but it seems kind of wobbly. I don't think it is right, or I am missing a piece or something.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

ive use point coils on electronic dists' without any problems.but i would use a electronic ballast too. about the alt theres a spacer tube that runs between the bolt flanges of the alternater if thats not in there i could make it wobble slightly.

Alt bracket
If you have all the correct bolts, you can make the spacers form 3/8 black pipe available from local hardware store. Just cut off the threads and cut to proper length. You can also purchace a complete set of bolts and spacers which may give you a picture of what goes where.

Thanks for the suggestions and pics, this helps alot. I don't think I have the triangle bracket mounted properly, but the car is 50 miles away at my buddy's shop, so I will email him the pics. As for the coil, ballast resistor, etc, I will call mopartsracing.com and order the proper parts to match the distributor I have.
Again, thank you all for your help.

After looking at the options for alternator brackets on http://www.bouchillonperformance.com it appears that it is the same brackets from any 440 w/o AC from 1967 on. The 440 in my car is from a 1975 Chrysler Imperial donor car. Am I right? Is it the same for all 440's from 67 on?

i belive so
i dont think that the mounting positions on the heads would have changed
although it is possible, because the heads themselves changed over the years
