DAKOTA HEADERS ON OLDER 318
 

I am wondering if anyone knows if the exhaust ports on dakota magnum 318 engines are the same as some of the older 318's

I have heads from 1967

i saw a set of short pacesetter headers that look like they will fit up but no sure

any info would be great

I heard that the ports are of a different shape which means to me that they would not work. I'm not 100% certain of this though.

Thanks, looking at some of the pictures i have seen the ports looks the same and bolt pattern looks the same. I would think that someone has done this before but maybe i am am the first in history .

The new magnum intake and exhaust manifolds are different than the old 318 LA engines. They share the same basic dimensions, but will most likely not fit without some sort of modification.

Of course you could make anything work with the time and money! :D
