dart help please

The darts with small block V8s and automatics of the mid to late 60's; what was the auto tranny? 727 long output or 727 short output. There are a few local mid to late 60s dodge darts with slant 6s for sale that I can afford and am thinking about swapping the 318/727 out of my 78 d200 into one of them as a project.

Now I know a 340 or 360 would be better but I've got a reman long block assembly and tranny in working order sitting in my truck that would cost me nothing to swap in minus a larger radiator, maybe some crossmember work, and a driveshaft.

One is a 65 and the other is a 67. both or four door hardtops. Think it would work out? Should I just keep the slant 6 in it and orginal? I like the look of both.

(Hopefully the adds work)

Do you have a canoe, because that would make an awesome story,

"So... Thats a nice car you got there, how much you pay for it?"

"I traded a canoe for it"

I think it would be more then worth it for the act that you can say that.

Just my opinion, and whaI would do in that situation.

the 67 would be alot easier to swap a v8 into since 67-76 was pretty much the same platform but the 65 would be different
goodluck

Thanks guys, I emailed both sellers and never heard back from them. I still have to move the d200 to the new house and get it torn down and sell off what I don't want. maybe come the spring time I'll be ready.
