double single or none stud starter fastner

When you guys rebuild a belhousing do you double stud, single stud top or bottom, or just nut and bolt for the starter attachment?

I have found that 675-033 Dorman studs work well both top and bottom or you can weld 675-010 on the NC side at .500 to bottom out and work fine. Also Fastenal 22870 bolts, work great.

I use Nippon Denso mini starters for everything I put together.

I try not to use a stud for that application. Sometimes there isnt room to slide something off a stud.

I think a stud on the bottom is stock, but if you have headers it for sure would be easier to have two bolts instead of a stud for fitment reasons.
