Good news and Bad news!

Got around to looking at my Fury on the weekend! It was the victem of some 'freezing' back in December when it got below -45 here. the coolant froze creating quit the mess!

Got a chance to check out the damage, looks like it is limited to a upper rad hose, anf the thermostat gasket for sure and maybe the water pump as it squeeks at low RPM now! And the rear Diff seal is leaking, and the master clyinder is bone dry and leaking.

So a new rad hose, t-stat gasket, diff gasket, a new master clyinder or rebuild kit, some coolant and diff oil. Think the damage is under $200 under $100 if I can get a master clyinder rebuilt kit!

That is great news for sure!!!!! That could have been one hell of a problem... I can't imagine it being that cold!!!!! I was in Buffalo NY one January for 15 days and I swore that would never happen again!!!!!! I called my boss and told him one of two things were going to happen.. Either he get someone else to cover Buffalo or he could get someone to cover it all!!!!!!!!! I was done.... I'm still working for the same company but just not in Buffalo.....

Not sure, maybe the o-rings went bad over the winter, not sure why the rear diff would be leaking now either. I doubt the diff oil and brake fluid totaly froze. Not sure why, but i'm am sure it's somthing I have to fix!

you got lucky that the block did not crack {THANK GOD!}
that is weird about the master though. any wet spots around that smell like brake fluid?

while on the topic, anyone know of a source for a rebuild kit for a MC, 64 B-body Non power brakes? Can find power brakes, but nothing for the Non power! Atleast north of the boarder!
