Help I'm stuck!
Hi guys,
I had my engine removed during a restoration awhile back.
Now I am trying to install the engine. The engine is hanging from a hoist ready to install, and while pre fitting the mounts I noticed that the insulator holes that bolt to the k-frame holes are 11/16ths inch diameter. The k-frame holes are also the same diameter. The bolts are only 7/16th diameter. I looked at the old insulator holes and they are the same size. Are there bushings that I am missing to take up the play or is this normal? Isn't this a lot of play? I do not remember any bushings in the mounts or the k-frame. The engine is a 440 and the car is a Challenger. I looked at a Dodge parts manual and it doesn't mention any bushing.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance guys!

got the answer!
Hi
No worries I just found out the answer.
The holes are the correct size and is made that way to allow for alignment of the engine. Once the bolts are torqued down the engine should not move except through the rubber insulators. This is from a website from a company that makes special motor mounts and torque links for Mopars
