IGN problem
 

I’m trying to delete the computer ign on a 1987 ply gran fury 5.2 . I’m installing the mopar ECU type ign . Question is will the engine / camshaft have to be upgraded to perform properly ? Due to the timing difference?

I dont think so.
Should be able to install the kit and off you go.

The engine camshaft effects valve timing. Camshaft will determine how long and wide a valve opens and closes. Ignition timing determines when the engine sparks. By adjusting the timing with a timing light you move the distributor advanced or retarded signaling when the plug fires in relation to the piston. So your modification should have no effect. Good to go.
