65AzBel Dec 2, 2008 02:59 PM

im pretty sure you can buy the kit and it will have different color gears in the kit , i cant remember off hand how to config: it but there is a way and ill look into it for you just give me a day or so

OK. Thanks challenger.

I'd like to get that speedo working so I can take it on the street again.

Using a GPS for a speedo in the land of speed cameras is not fun.

hey a GPS is more accurate then a speedom but i understand and im still getting it together for u .... at least im trying but ive ran into some of my own delemas for the moment but will get back to you asap

Yea my email is Canamryder@yahoo.com

Thanks so much!!!

Here is the complete answer. Save this chart so you have it in the event of a rear gear swap or tire size change.

Thanks for that site.

Looks like I need a 29/30.

But what is the difference between the A and B style of speedometer drive?

65AzBel Dec 18, 2008 06:05 PM

I went over to TCI auto/ transmissions, and they have both the 30 and 33 for 14 each.

The only thing I need to know now is: What is the # of teeth that drive the speedometer gear.

challenger Dec 18, 2008 10:09 PM

open the hole and jack the car up then take a red marker, mark a tooth and turn shaft and count the teeth, its the easiest way i know :D

challenger Dec 23, 2008 06:05 PM

have you made headway on the speedo :)

deadkelly Jan 1, 2009 04:29 PM

do 904 & 727 use the same speedo drives ?

johnthegoalie Feb 10, 2009 01:30 AM

also a little tip, when installing - on the housing there are markers for how many teeth on the gear you are using - line the appropriate one with the marker on the tranny itself.
