stalling problem 2.5 ltr

Hi, I'm new here. I'm going nuts with my 89 acclaim, 2'5 ltr. first wont' run in cold mornings. found wiring harness to throttle stuff shorted. replaced it, now it drives and idles fine for a while, then at stop, it sputters and stalls, or tries to stall. have replaced all vacuum lines and getting NO trouble codes from computer. Any ideas? PLEASE!

What region are you from? There was a similiar issue from someone up in Canada a couple months ago and the problem was in the ecm or lean burn, whatever ignition module is in there. The issue is that when the temperature changes the circuit board shrinks or expands which may cause connections to come apart or come back together, so if you see a change with temperature this could be your issue.

FSJs from the 80 have that same problem with heat.

if its an automatic, i have seen them stall out when you hit the brakes do to the rear drum brakes not being adjuster correctly, dont know if this will apply with yours or not
