I cant remember, but does your car have the old fender mounted starter relay? Try testing that when theres a no-start. Or just bang it like people have done for eons. Easy to check, easy to fix.

the relay is mounted on the firewall and there is juice going through it but ill give it a tap to be sure

www.mymopar.com has a schematic for you to download for free. Do this and keep it in your toolbox. On your relay, there looks to be a brown and a yellow wire on it that energizes the coil in the relay. That acts as a switch from the battery to the starter solenoid. You should check for voltage on the wire going to the solenoid when someone turns the key to start. On my 74 RR it is the large brown wire on the center terminal. Then we take it from there. Good luck.

ok a buddys 68 dart did the same thing, I changed the relay , ran the wires, checked the nuetral saftey switch, kept doing the intermitant thing, finally i trakced it down to the ign. switch, it had a bad spot in the switch not making contact sll the time. hope this helps.
